Help! 1974 Husqvarna 400CR (I think?)

Hi everyone, I recently picked up my dads old dirt bike because I wanted to attempt to fix it up with my buddy (neither of us know too much about dirt bikes but we know a thing or two when it comes to fixing engines and using tools). The bike I believe is a 1974 400CR based off what search results gave me with the engine model number, it's also been sitting in storage for about 30 years and hasn't run at all. Does anyone know where to start with this? or what to start looking into so we aren't running in circles? Thanks!!
Also: No on in the family even knew about the bike so i have zero leads as to why it won't work.
