What's up guys, I have a svartpilen 401 and I'm interested in increasing the width of the rear tire... has anyone done it?
has anyone mounted a 170/60-R17 rear tire on their Svartpilen 401?

The factory has already determined optimal tire sizing.
There is less than 10mm clearance , chain to tire with a 150. A 170 of any profile will not fit.
A 160 would probably squeeze in.

Going to a wider (and heavier) tire on such a light and nimble bike would cause some negative performance attributes that outweigh the "it looks better" factor, in my opinion.
