Has anyone changed Handle Bars on a Vitpilen, and fitted flat bars from Svartpilen?

I find in the Winter months, the leaning forward position with winter clothing on a little uncomfortable, and more stops required for a pee :( so to topic, or fitted flat bars to a Vitpilen, then I would change back in the summer.

Or is it not worth it, as the brake/clutch lines too short?

Thanks

If you just need a little relief on your wrists, you could also try the Gilles bar risers. A very elegant solution that raises the bars by 35mm.

Thanks for the replies, has all of the riser bars etc been fitted with out having to change the Cables?

On the Gilles risers, the clutch and brake hoses are long enough.

For the wiring of the left and right control clusters (blinker, light and kill switch), I wanted to make sure there were no stress points and pulled some back from under the tank. There's some wiring folded up there and at least 4-6" extra if needed. Enough to fit MX-style bars.

I have the Motobike Bregenz ones. Same lift (35mm) as the Gilles but they look more like OEM. All fits ok and the instructions tell you about the extra slack in the wiring hidden in between the forks / behind the headlight. The brake and clutch lines are fine but you need to move the angle of the banjos to clear the risers if you want to lower the levers.

Worth doing but I’m still considering the ABM kit.

im just double checking if my 2019 model vitpilen 701 fits

I'm not trying to be honestly, i've been having a really hard time finding that information.
Even my local dealer couldn't seem to find out.

I emailed Husqvarna Europe to double check, awaiting their reply.
also Vitpilen 701 2019 it might not work and newer models it seems to work, although not sure its becoming a big internet info mystery at this stage.
Unfortunately..

thanks for your feedback!

If you click the 'select your bike' button on that link, the drop down menu does not list a 701 Vitpilen. That should tell you, it doesn't fit the 701 vitpilen.
