Has anyone changed Handle Bars on a Vitpilen, and fitted flat bars from Svartpilen?

If you click the 'select your bike' button on that link, the drop down menu does not list a 701 Vitpilen. That should tell you, it doesn't fit the 701 vitpilen.
thank you, that doesn't seem to be working here (browser or country internet) so again thanks.
also it became clear now that the pics on here are prob a 401, hence the extra confusion.

so there is no way to convert to a higher/normal handle bar on the vitpilen 701?

There is, the ABM kit. Or you could just order Svartpilen 701 parts, or buy them second hand.
You'll need the top yoke, bar mounts, handlebars, brake and clutch links maybe, and maybe the dashmount as well.

Or you could fit the Gilles raised clip ons. Which is a lot easier and looks better as well.

thank you for your reply and help!
I am going to look into Svartpilen parts and if its to complicated/unclear i will go for the ABM.

The Gilles raisers might not be enough elevation for me but i will look into that as well, saw them online before.
Thanks again!

Off the top of my head:

- top triple
- bar clamps and bars
- dashboard bracket
- headlamp bracket
- headlight surround
(it's all different)

And loads of bits and bobs. I'm not even sure if you can reuse the ignition lock. Not worth it basically. Selling your Vit701 and buying a Svart 701 instead would be smarter. A friend of mine tried this, and ended up going the ABM route.

I also found this thread really helpful. I just bought a 2019 Vitpilen 401. I'm 6'4" and will appreciate the extra height. Thanks to all the contributors

I have the Motobike Bregenz ones. Same lift (35mm) as the Gilles but they look more like OEM. All fits ok and the instructions tell you about the extra slack in the wiring hidden in between the forks / behind the headlight. The brake and clutch lines are fine but you need to move the angle of the banjos to clear the risers if you want to lower the levers.

Worth doing but I’m still considering the ABM kit.
Hi!
I can't find the risers you point. I remember seeing them but I cant find them now. Can you provide a link to buy them? Thanks!
