After seeing @Vatte 's post about harness damage I looked closer at mine.

Just about everywhere where there is contact to the frame or the tank the insulation on the harness has worn through and the cables are visible.

Luckily I checked before it got so far that the copper is exposed.

Now for repair of the insulating band, should I get the special automotive webbed harness tape, or would the Super 33 I use for normally for everything be just as good / better.

14k miles roughly.

Did the valves while I had the tank off.

Ended up popping by the car dealership around the corner and they set me up with some wire harness tape.

Then after I mended it up I was extra careful to align the wires to fit in the groove on the underside of the tank.

Glad I looked really...
