Hello I am swapping out a newer Husky 401 motor into a 2015 RC390 and I need help understanding where the long ground wires that go from the motor, right below the starter connect to? I see two wires that appear to be ground but already have grounded the motor from another much shorter connector on the left side of the bike. I tried looking at the OEM parts fiche but couldnt find it. Can someone take a look and let me know? The RC390 motor did not have this so just curious.

I just checked on my bike. The wires are hard to trace as there is so little room inside the trellis frame and everything is cable-tied together. However, it looks like one of the leads bolts at a junction between frame elements close to that side of the motor. This lead is probably only eight to ten inches long.

The other lead runs upwards and disappears under the tank. I took off the seat but can't see it from there. I suspect it's the earth lead to the battery but that needs to be checked out.

It's not unusual to have multiple earth connections.

It's part 24 in this diagram
