Global recall all 701 due to clutch slave cylinder problems "Finally"

I had an issue like that when I first got my bike, no pressure and lever went to the bars without disengaging the clutch. Bled the clutch system and it’s worked fine for the last 3k miles.. I did replace the slave cylinder anyways though. If your engine was just out maybe they left and air bubble in it.

i had that experience aswell with the bubble after second ride , but the second time it failed partial it was coming from the seal...

My dealer was kind enough to show me the recall paperwork:

Most interesting bit is page 2. It shows how to visually determine whether you have the old, failure prone clutch receiver cylinder or the newer one.

My dealer is apparently a bit fed up with the whole thing and opted to install a Rekluse receiver cylinder on their own dime. They already had it in stock and had it down in 90 minutes at no cost to me. I’m starting to quite like this shop.

Sounds like a good dealer! I couldn't get that link to work, but I'd love to see the paperwork. Can you try to post it again?

Pretty good writeup on the recall from RideApart:
This recall affects all 2018 and 2019 KTM 690 Dukes, all 2018 through 2020 KTM 690 Enduro Rs, all 2019 through 2020 KTM 690 SMC Rs, all 2018 through 2020 Husqvarna Vitpilen 701s, all 2019 through 2020 Husqvarna Svartpilen 701s, all 2018 through 2020 Husqvarna Enduros, all 2018 through 2020 Husqvarna 701 Supermotos, and all 2020 Husqvarna 701 Enduro LRs.
A total of 8,398 individual motorcycles may be involved in this recall, which KTM says is about 15 percent of bikes. The issue stems from a bellow-style gasket clutch slave cylinder, which may have been damaged due to deviations during assembly.

So, has anyone been running the newest version of the Stock Clutch Slave?

I put the Stock one, which I initially took off with 0 miles, back on the bike now.

Haven't heard anything good or bad about its durability yet.

I have, for about 16.000 Km’s. I was aware of this issue already when I bought the bike, new, in Feb ‘22 and asked about it. Dealer told me they replaced the faulty slave already, and looking through the documentation provided here by Sofauxboho, I can confirm I have the updated cylinder on my bike. Seems like it failed on me last week though. After sitting still for about 2,5 months, I decided to install a handlebar mount for a peripheral system, and ran a cable to the battery. Put everything back together, started the bike, and it cut out when I shifted into gear. Fluid level on clutch reservoir normal, but no pressure in the handle. It was limp. Just ordered the Oberon slave. Will keep you posted.IMG_7799.jpeg
