Front Rotor Options

I was looking for a front floating rotor and a set of brake pads for the svartpilen. Are there any options besides the oem upgrade? There were a few I found online but they all mentioned it was meant for alloy rims. Is there anything other models I could look up that would be compatible?
 
On Galfer website one for a KTM 390 adventure has the same centre hole as the Svartpilen wire wheels. Problem is I cannot find anyone who can supply one here in the UK. Several sites with wave Rotors quote as fitting the wire wheeled Svartpilen but after speaking to them it turns out they are all for the alloy wheel. Even Huskymoto (UK main Husqvarna parts supplier) have zero Husqvarna ‘official technical’ Galfer discs anywhere in Europe. I can order direct from Galfer Italy DF941CW as stated above but with import duty and VAT it could be around £330? For that amount of money I can live with the current performance of the standard disc. I have bought the EBC pads to try when the weather is better.
Weirdly I just checked Galfer site again and when KTM 390 ADV 2023 is put in their search bar it says it also fits the Svartpilen 401 but if you put Svartpilen in their search it come up with the smaller centre disc. This is not confidence inspiring at all.

The only way I know of to get the wave rotor is to order directly from Galfer. ProjektRacing has a front rotor listed for sale, you could contact them to see which one it is. But either way, you are looking at $300.

Did you also check it with the KTM-/Husqvarna part number 28509960000?

Nobody has actual physical stock of the Galfer. They all say they do, take payment then they do not have an actual disc to send me so they refund my money.
Might think about the Moto master flame one as they are showing as loads in stock. I have been down that road before though.
Like I said I’ll give the EBC pads a go, I normally do not brake very much anyway as a change down and engine braking is normally enough in most cases. An emergency stop when a car panic braked in front of me whilst trying to race me had my back wheel going light as the ABS kicked in. I think the standard disc works fine it just looks cheap and nasty. I do not like the Moto master on looks alone but it does look better than the Standard disc.
 
I have ordered the Galfer disc from Husqvarna Technical parts Austria, we will see if they can produce this Unicorn part for me. they are saying there were issues last year but it is 'in stock' with them and I should hear from them next week, so fingers crossed. This will be my final attempt to get this as I am getting frustrated at keep paying and being refunded. I'll keep you posted.....

They said it should be here in UK from Tuesday, then they will send to me.
The problem with getting from EU is now UK has left all goods have extra payments added either by sender or by customs or both! Then when here in the UK customs or delivery company or both will add extra payments. This makes buying in EU almost impossible to workout how much it will cost. Unless I come to EU and pick it up.! My exhaust from Arrows was £150 cheaper in Italy but impossible to know how much it would have cost to get through customs and to my house. This means we have to order from uk stockists who import the parts and add what they feel like. I have been charged £216 delivery from AMS moto, a KTM Husky Gas Gas dealer who assure me they have no problems getting parts from Austria almost daily. I’ll find out soon I guess?
 
I've been ordering from Italy and Germany to the US and it wasn't clear at all if there would be extra fees but there was nothing. I wound up saving several hundred dollars on purchases last year doing it that way.
 
Thank you everyone for sharing your experiences trying to buy this elusive from disk. Seems to me as of this moment in time it's much easier and cheaper (for me in canada) to purchase it from the dealer. I'll give them a call again and see what they want for it. That is if they are still open since ktm went under. I'll let you guys know what they charge
