Picked new bike up Friday and the jury is out for me, the low speed fuelling is quite poor which I didnt expect, also the instrument panel trip meters are all over the place. I think that the distance is being calculated in kilometres but displaying in miles which is what I want. Has anyone else experienced this. ODO is on 132 miles but trip is displaying 214 miles at a ridiculous average speed. Settings are just miles or kilometres, am I missing something. Anyone know how to reset the panel or should I just take it back.

You can reset the trips to 000 that would be a start. I also picked up an 801 a couple of weeks ago. I'm going to fit the FuelX module to address the low speed fuelling - will let you know if it's worth the money (£250!)
Would be interested what the fuelx does, Not long ago I had a Kove 450 Rally not so much a Unicorn bike more a kangaroo bike, bought a coober ecu for that, was supposed to sort out the abysmal fuelling, it made it prob 50 percent better but it was still worse than this, sold the bike because of that, can't believe I've got another bike that the manufacturer can't make run properly, I've ridden a cfmoto with the same engine and that was as smooth as silk so can't understand this. Its not that bad, but something has to be bang on for me, fingers crossed then.

It isn't really the manufacturers, it is physics. Running under the limit for Euro5 emissions basically means single and 2 cylinder bikes have to be tuned right to edge of lean stability. You don't feel it as much in 4 cylinders because missed pulses are more likely to get covered up by the higher number of power pulses per rpm.
I had a 401 before this bike and you could audibly hear it missing at low revs before adding the FuelX.

BTW, if you want a buttery smooth bike, you could consider the XSR900. I had one, and they are super smooth at any speed. Sound great with a pipe too.
Thanks Rob11! I just picked up a 801 Svartpilen Friday. After my second ride, I went to look at how many mile were on the bike and my bike is doing the exact same thing. I will make sure they reset the screen at the first service.Spoke to a Tech where I bought bike from, apparantly the Screen issue is known, they have seen it before and they are going to reset the screen at the first service which will solve the problem.
