Verex in Tasmania built me a beautiful exhaust for my Vitpilen 401. Eliminated every cat and the big chamber as well. A Fuel-x lite and a Nitron R3 remote reservoir shock completed my mods. Now when spring time comes we'll see how things go. The Dyno results were quite good. Check out Verex, they make some really nice stuff!

Nice exhausts. These would also fit the 701 with a different end pipe cos both are 51mm.

If you search Husqvarna on their (verex exhaust) site it shows a video of a Svartpilen full system sound check. Too loud for here in the uk and not appropriate for a little 400. No video of full system with db killer in though, it might lessen it a bit.

The db killer does cut the noise level. Wether it is enough to meet every governmental standard is the question. There are enough generic db killers available to meet any standard for short money.

Not sure there is any db killer that will make any exhaust with no Cat and no chamber compliant. I guess it depends on the countries or cities regulation but most are probably under 100db. Can't even make the stock exhaust compliant by removing the muffler and installing an aftermarket muffler with a db killer.

Just tested: The externally adjustable db killer from Remmotorcyle passes NH noise limits of 92 db at idle, 96db at 2000 rpm.

Update on noise. Tested at 85 db with Remmoto external adjustable db killer. It takes a little doing but worth it. Note: this was on the rev limiter. NH noise limits are set for HD and we all know about those exhaust mods, eh? !!!

Hey,
I've been running their beautiful downpipe for about a month now on my 2020 401. In my case, I'm running it with a stock muffler, without any tunes. Prior to this, I was running the Competition Werkes chamber delete with the stock downpipe. Verex downpipe sounds definitely louder, and harder sounding, too. But beyond that, I noticed something else. When I installed the chamber delete (by the way, this was not something I wanted to do but didn't have much of a choice after the previous owner did something weird with it), it slightly but definitely lost mid-range tourque, which is rather well-discussed on the forum. But with the Verex downpipe, the bike not only got it back but aslo revs harder. So now, my question is, how does that chamber actually work?

Damned if I know, it ain't paint recyclin' day! Running the full exhaust and a fuel-x lite my bike dyno'd at 40 hp. Flatend out the torque curve and made it less revvy down low.
