So... I have a 2020 Svart, and I have been planning on modding the exhaust. Whatever I do, I plan on KEEPING a catalytic converter. This is different from what most people do, but it's my plan and experiment. I'm all about reducing weight and I think the premuffler/chamber is a much heavier thing than the cat. And I like being nice to the environment and I also think the cat reduces the volume a lot. I intend to find out. I'm also keeping the stock airbox, snorkle, airfilter and lid, as that will hopefully keep the EFI and A/F ratio happy. I'm not chasing HP on a low power bike, this is all about weight, ground clearance and looks. And a little about sound.

First I was just going to get the 2020+ Competition Werks chamber delete and install that.
But I missed the ground clearance advantages the 2019- bikes had with the side exit header,

So, After a bunch of eBay, AliExpress and friendly forum member purchases, I have accumulated the parts for too many exhaust options.
I need to choose:

a) Keep the 2020 header that goes under the engine and install the comp werks 2020+premuffler delete and use my CF muffler. Then I'd likely get a better 390 Adventure skid plate.
benefits: no shock / cat clearance/heat issues. easier to install.
negatives: less ground clearance, need to find a skid plate, I'm just hoping the 390 Adventure ones fit.

b) Install the 2017 header and cat and install the comp werks 2019- premuffler delete and use my CF muffler. Try to find skid plate that fits.
benefits: more ground clearance, better looking header.
negatives: shock / cat clearance/heat issues possible, more work to install having trouble finding a good easy to fit skid plate.

Any opinions?

Are you riding in areas where you need more ground clearance? I've scraped a tall curb on my 2020 that I wanted to see if I could clear, and that's really it. Other hard pack trails/gravel roads are about all I ride when I go off road, and I'm not going over logs or hard-core trails.

So, unless you really need the ground clearance, I'd go with option A.

Using an aftermarket muffler, will give you the option to use an after market Cat (not sure if it can be done with the stock muffler )

Then you would technically be able to choose how much cat you need / like.

This option would work with the 2020 Cat delete / chamber delete / after market muffler.

This is the one in my GPR High level vs. Stock:

This is how I think about it, also. I did a little bit of dirt road riding the other day, up past some gorgeous horse farms and estates. I'd like to try something a little more adventurous at some point, but don't ever see the need for the ground clearance of a true ADV bike.

I also selfishly want the OP to install the CW '20 chamber delete since I've been eyeing it and am unsure if it's worth it :D I would also keep the cat and install the Akra exhaust (or maybe Arrow).

If you’re interested, I did the CW chamber delete and the Luis Moto big battle exhaust and the combination sounds fantastic. not as loud as the Coffman exhaust I tried earlier, but just as deep. Much cleaner sound. You can see a clip of it here if you like:
