Exhaust for 2020 model

Hey everyone,


I'm currently looking for an aftermarket ECE-homologated exhaust for my 2020 Vitpilen 401. Somehow it seems to be more challenging than I thought to find a sleak exhaust for the year 2020 model with a nice deep sound.

After ordering the Remus Sport-flow a few months ago, it turned out that it's only compatible up to the '19 model..

I also looked at the one from AustinRacing which is designed for the KTM Duke 390 (2020). I'm wondering if that would also fit the 401? Does anyone know for sure?

Does it really have to be ECE homologated? And are you looking for a full exhaust or just a slip on muffler?
Cat delete?
 
since I live in Germany I need it to be an ECE-homologated slip-on exhaust without cat-delete :/
 
Good luck. I have yet to see a dyno chart for any exhaust that shows a notable improvement... other than Akrapovic. Which pretty much shows that factory really did a good job.

I'm pretty sure that will not fit, as the 390 exhaust still goes around the engine and on the 2020 401 the exhaust pipe goes under the engine. I've heard the connecting flanges are different too. Now... if you have some time/money to spend, I have heard the you can replace the entire exhaust from the 2020 with the entire exhaust from a 2019, and then you have more options. Of course you would need a new belly pan and stuff. I'd rather wait for stuff to come out for the 2020 before starting that project.
 
You'll probably be best off to wait Wenny.

It takes time to get the necessary approvals.

We will probably start seeing approved 2020 model pipes for sale at the end of this year / beginning of next year.

Fooling around with a pipe from another year or model or...whatever... is not going to get you through the next TÜV appointment.

And for price of an individual approval it could buy a second motorcycle.

Speaking of time for Approvals, the only E-Approved System with Cat which I have found for a 2018-2019 model just came out in Feb. this year.

Back to 2020+
It looks like currently there is Arrow or Shark/Hurric available with E-approval, ftm.
