Elephant trunk lid

@svartron and me are thinking about a way to open/remove the lid to increase lowref power but keep noises low.
Below is my first sketch..
The new lid should be roomier and a snorkel should be placed between airbox and battery.
I got an unboxed battery so there is massiv space, a boxed battery will need a shorter snorkel..
And of course, this lid should be paired with a open cage

Still a lot of work to do.. snorkel length can be easy adjusted once it is shaped.. thinking about a 3mm window foam band to isolate the lid/snorkel to airbox..

It was a good ride. Snorkel lid is working well, feelable more torque as with original lid, and noise level nearly as original.
Best news, found out there are a few mm space left to optimize the snorkel itself..

Is that an alternative or dissolving solution for your Open Cage project?
What is the aim of this? Power like open lid but sound level like with lid?

What unboxed Battery do you have?

Yeah, that's planned.. power like without lid, noise like stock..
What I don't like on the snorkel one, is the lost space. I ride mostly in a single piece leathers and I need this space for my wallet and phone..
I think about a different lid, more like a frame wich holds some foam filter in place.. in combination with open cage could it possible work

Thanks for the tip. I bought the LiFeEnergy 5000 also but with integrated balancer bord.
