'easy shift' not working.

my vitpilen 701 has 475 miles total.

when i am trying to engage 'easy shift' to upshift, it will not shift into higher gear.

per the owner's manual anything over 2200 rpm should work but when i
push up with my boot on the shift lever it is very stiff and will not shift to higher gear.



also same experience when downshifting.

anyone know what i am missing ?

I never had mine before its first service (around 600 miles I think it’s due). Maybe it gets unlocked then?

It’s that’s not the case, I found mine worked a lot better after removing and refitting the gear shift lever. It might be worth trying.

On the 401 it is available from day one.
Try accelerating and letting off slightly as you toe the shifter without the clutch, like speed shifting but it's smoother.
I don't think mine likes WOT clutchless upshifts.

Mine didn’t work when I got my 701, had to take it to the dealership and have them adjust and mess with the software.

yeap same here. it was locked in the ecu. aeo powersports in murrieta unlocked it for me after the first service, thanks for everyone's input!
