Hello

It's Road Trip Week ! ! ! ! !

That's the plan :
TOTAL.jpg

Day 1 : Strasbourg to Morgon 460 km an about 7h30 drive. Meeting point with my friend comming from the French Alpes
Day 2 : Morgon to Clermont-Ferrand 180km an about 4h00 drive. Then visiting the Michelin Museum in the afternoon
Day 3 : round trip arround Clermont-Ferrand 250km an about 5h00 drive.
Day 4 : back home in Alsace 575km and about 9h00 drive

Should be 1465km in 4 days with the sun !

Looks like an awesome trip!
I was planning to do a 5 day trip to the Vosges next week (13-17may) But it looks like the weather will not be great, so that will probably be postponed 😔

Almost 1 year without doing anything on my bike

So this winter, I've removed the pre-silencer on the bike to install this part I found 2nd hand

I'm definitely NOT doing that! Thanks for being the guinea pig.

Woah what chamber delete is that? The one I got uses the previous bar that was holding the chamber through both holes as its attachment to the frame and was a MAJOR pain in the ass to get into position. This one only going off one port seems... infinitely more practical to install

Hello all of you

Where is it possible to find a bigger front sproket and/or a smaller rear sprocket ?

I'm looking for 16 in the front and/or 42 in the rear

I'm located in Europe

Tanks for your help

I found a 42 rear from manufacturer Afam, I tried it with the standard 15 front but went back to 45 as I preferred the bike with standard acceleration. I could not find a 16 front anywhere in Europe for my 23’ Svartpilen.
The Afam 42 was on EBay here in the uk and was advertised as a KTM duke 200 fitment but they are all the same bolt pattern and 520 chains. My new 45 is an Afam also, very pleased with the quality of these sprockets.

I just found a 16 front on Ebay in Italy

I will install and test it after my next week road trip in Germany's Black Forest

The exhaust manifold that you have can be swapped for the 390 duke 2017-2020 or Vitpilen/Svartpilen 401 2017-2020 models this way it curves up over the engine having nothing go at the bottom to bash when going off-road.

The parts you'll need are the older model exhaust manifold, the cat that connects to it which then connects to its pre muffler. Finally you'll also need a new muffler. You'll still want to get a decent engine guard at the bottom.

I believe the change was that people were complaining that their left leg was getting hot so they redesigned it to route below the engine instead of of above. If you ask me the above engine is a more practical solution and if it is that hot then just wrap the manifold. Simple fix

So... Back from my road trip in german Black Forest.

875km in arround 15 hours of drive, only on curvy mountain roads exept 60km on highway.
It was a bit cold on the top of the hill but I managed to go arround the rainy clouds

This bike is so nice in this kind of situation.
A Ducati Mostro rider shared 20km of curvy road with me, unable to pass me. At the stop on the top of the hill, he went to say me "Thanks for this nice ride ! 😁"

When I came back, after cleaning the bike, I changed the front sprocket for a 16. Today when I came to work, I feeled it is more comfortable to ride. Lets see in the next km how it feels in different kind of situation
