Does sprocket size change makes TC fail error?

I changed rear sprocket 40t to 42t.

Can this makes TC problems?

I have 15/42 gearing and have never seen the TC light flash.

Pretty sure the TC compares the wheel speed of the front and rear wheels from the abs tone rings. Gearing should not affect it. I have run a bunch of different sprockets and TC still worked on my bike.

You have changed the gearing to accelerate harder, is it not possible your bike may now be actually using the traction control.?

Also make sure you didn't damage the ring. When changing sprocket. If one of the fins got bent even slightly it could give a wrong reading
