Think this thing will fit on a 2020 401?
Obviously, I'd need a 2019 header.

you'll need the header but be aware that slip ons designed for the KTM the mounting position sits higher, so when you install it on the 401s the bracket sit too low and looks a bit funny.

You can see here the with this fake akra designed for KTM the sleeve sit pretty much on the very bottom of the muffler, will need to cut the pipe down by about 50mm or something to make it look a bit better.

When you are going to get a header, than are you limited to the year?

I mean, the 2016 have alot more options, such as the tyga header.

you can use 2nd hand 2017+ KTM Duke/RC 390 header or RTAMO Titanium version from ebay

I use RTAMO and even thou it's chinese I can vouch for the quality something I would expect from expensive brand names, fitment was perfect

You know I have that exact header in my watch list! Great to see you vouch for the quality.
Did you get a fuel computer too?

I do have have Coober ECU but I haven't installed it yet since I haven't even pass 1000km on the Vit yet, I've spent more time building the bike than riding it.

Delkevic have specific connecting pipes for these bikes so that any of their slip on silencers can work.

I know the 2020 model exhaust is routed differently but the silencer part might be exactly the same.

Doesnt look exactly the same, but pretty darn close....here is a side by side using 2233's pic posted by mrlm.

I just want to clarify that I wasn't upset that someone used my photo, I just find it funny that when you google 2020 svartpilen pics, mine is one of the first to pop up. Makes me wonder how many ppl have seen that pic.

yes I don't have part diagram or 2020 bike to confirm but you can see from the picture comparison above

I just googled and that pic stood out as being clearest. Too lazy to go to the garage and take a pic of mine when the Delkevic site had one the same.

They changed part numbers from 2019 to 2020 but they also moved assembly to India from Austria. The parts may be the same but from different suppliers.

I was told the 2020 rear indicators would not fit on a 2018, even Husqvarna wouldn't give straight answer. It was obvious to me the front was identical and the indicators are interchangable parts. Other parts such as tail tidy fit all years so the frame mounting had to be the same, seemed highly likely the plastic mounts would fit and they did. Things like that would only be changed with good reason and I don't see a reason the change the clamp method. You can rotate it so the bit isn't visible.

I was thinking the same about the clamp thing.

Anyone else with an 18-19 had an exhaust leak? I know mine has had leaks more than once and that the donut shaped gaskets which look like they need to be replaced are on back order since June.... probably because I am not the only person that wants a replacement.

Despite the similar looking pipe design the first gen Pilens same year dukes have a different clamp than older dukes, and now the new gen Pilens seem to have a different looking clamp type more similar to the older dukes.

Maybe the older design was better for some reason? Maybe they are better for the slide in style cat located in the mid pipe?

I normally have that Delkevic on but I have taken the exhaust off several times and there are no issue with it. I'm not even sure where it could leak from unless the gasket disintegrated. I must just be careful.

I can see now from the technical drawings at the links I posted that the clamp is completely different. 2020 model is like a slip on. Earlier years use the rounded crush gasket. So the existing pipes for earlier years cannot possibly fit.
