Maybe the auto-blipper is acting up.I’ve just finished fitting a fairing to my Vit and although I’ve not modified the wiring loom
at all the engine has cut out twice when downshifting for a roundabout. Any ideas what to check for first?
TIA,
Mark
Should maybe have said on the approach to a roundaboutMaybe the auto-blipper is acting up.
Also... downshifting on a roundabout??![]()
The engine dies completely but restarts easily. When you say "cut out" do you mean it shuts off completely? or is it more like a quick power loss and then jumps back to normal?
Edit:
If it's the latter try disconnecting the shifter shaft sensor and check if it still does it.
It’s not done it on the last two outings but I’ll definitely give it a tryI check the side stand switch. Tie the side stand up in place so that it cannot bounce around, and then do a run !
Sorry for the late reply, yes I think it is only when I use the clutch but I’ve kind of reverted back to my 2 stroke days and if I feel the need to use the clutch I automatically blip the throttle and this seems to be the cureI think it's just a product of the bikes running very lean. I presume you're pulling the clutch to downshift and this is happening? If you just shift down using the autoblipper (no clutch) this won't happen.
Out of interest have you made any modifications to the bike?
