Does anybody know if the Veridian cruise control units made for KTM duke 690 work with our Svartpilen / Vitpilen 701?

This looks interesting!! Subscribing.
I reached out to them also, just for extra motivation.

who needs cruise control on a Vit/Svart-pilen? Really...
Here.

I reached out to them through their website and another forum, and the answer is that they are working on a version for the 701s. So, we'll see.

Cruise control for the Svartpilen 701 is available on the Veridian Cruise website. I reached out to them in March and they were willing to make a unit for the Svartpilen. They sent me a prototype for testing, after a few changes and a software update the cruise control unit works great. Uses a soft touch switch that sets the desires speed, adjusts it down and cancels it. Cruise also deactivates with front and rear brake. Unit is designed to install behind the headlight, space is tight but it fits. Harness is routed through the same opening as the main bike harness under the tank and connects to the diagnostic port. A pigtail wire connects to the rear brake light. Takes a couple hours to install. So far the unit has worked really well, I’ve ridden 300 miles after the install and haven’t had any issues.

Had an alert for the Veridian website and I saw the update for this.
I was going to purchase it with the added diag port but was waiting for instruction to be published so I could figure out how I was going to route the cables.
Now with your description I don't think it going to work for me, just because I don't have enough space left behind the headlight
Do you have a picture of how big the whole thing is?

The module it's pretty small (the orange rectangle in the middle of the headlight housing). Only thing I had to do was remove the metal clamp that holds the harness, I replaced it with a zip tie. Just make sure you tidy all the cables with zip ties and you'll have enough room.

Thank you!
It does look small, but I have so much stuff already tucked in there that I might not be able to make it fit.
What a pickle...
I might need to make extensions for the throttle connectors and put the module in the rear next to the obd port.

Another question, you said the cruise control deactivates with the brakes. What about the clutch? I worry that if you pull the clutch the engine could redline and keep going

Cruise does not deactivate with the clutch. I haven't pulled the clutch when using cruise control yet since our bikes have a quick shifter, we rarely use the clutch while cruising. You get used to pushing the cancel button on the handle bar or using the brakes.

If you ever do test that, please let me know. I rarely use the quick shift.
Thanks again.
