Coober ECU

Hello!
I had the Coober ECU fitted on Thursday. Wow. What a positive difference it has made. I love the 801 even more now. The throttle response is smooth as compared to before. First and second gear are no longer jerky/hesitant. It was worth the investment.

The bike just feels its best now. I'm getting it one inch lower for my short legs. This bike rocks

Still happy with your Coober ? You didn't decat right ?
Have you noticed any decrease in heat and less hot air coming from the cooler fan during this summer compared to stock ?

Yes, I am still happy with the Coober upgrade.
The bike is smoother at lower revs (2-3K RPM) while in traffic. So, I'm really pleased with that. Before I upgraded, the bike was so choppy.
I've put in maybe 700 miles on the bike since the installation.
My last fill-up I averaged 60 mpg. I was anywhere between 55-80 mpg (before Coober). I only weigh 145 lbs and I'm not a rowdy rider. So, your fuel efficiency will vary.

The bike still gets hot when it's hot outside. I was riding in 95 degree weather in traffic at times. I don't think, there was anything that would improve the heat coming off the bike.
I didn't do a decat. I like to keep things simple overall. Ergonomics is all I modified mostly as a shorter rider. This is my first ever ECU upgrade on any bike I've had. All my other bikes are stock, minus ergonomic improvements.

Let me know if you decided to get the Coober. I had to wait 6 weeks because it wasn't in stock. Hopefully, it will be for you so you won't have to wait as long as long as I did.
The 801 is a really fun and good-looking bike.

I think i might pull the trigger yes ! Just waiting to try the HONDA CB 1000F that i fell in love with but still nowhere available here in France !

Ohhh the CB1000F. Very nice! That bike was a contender. I went with the 2026 Kawasaki Z900RS SE. It is an absolute delight. It's my first inline-four engine and Kawasaki. I'm in love. It's a blade--smooth and sharp. The 801 is playful. The RS feels refined, composed and mature. It is a dashing beast. Do share if you decide to get the Honda! I was curious about their E-cluch as it has gotten rave reviews from some folks on YouTube that I respect (CB650R and Hornet). But, I'll pause for now. Have fun and you're welcome!

Yes ! Many have the same dilemma between the Kawa and the Honda.... Both are beautiful bikes ! Honda has had issues with its engine so the release is very very long, especially here... I particularly like its sound with the work they did on the firing of the 4 cylinders.... Normaly i am gonna stick to the 801 which seems to have become a collector now ! ^^ And that i love and appreciate so much ! The one thing i dislike about it, it's its burning fan that pulses hot air on the legs, with the summers we have here now, it isn't enjoyable at all ! I read that people felt less heat with the Coober mostly due to its correcting the gaz intake from the Euro norms.
