Coffman Shorty Exhaust - Now I’m Thumping!

Shorty pipe sound

Coffman's sound

*Just noticed a metallic resonance that wasnt there yesterday.. 🤔
Maybe a loose screw.
Edit: Fixed.
So 2 things wrong with your comparisons. You took 2 videos at 2 different angles which doesn't give us the same perception of sound from when you change exhausts. The second issue is that these motors are designed to run at a high rpm and all you did was a light tap on the throttle. That doesn't give us a real feel of the actual sound unless you demonstrate the sound at high rpm.

I am curious though that In your other post it sounded like you received your Coffman without the DB killer. Did you buy it used because I bought mine new and it did include the DB killer. I was hopping you were already using the exhaust with the DB killer and then added the extra baffle somehow to quite it down even more. Your video sounds just like mine with the Coffman along with its included DB killer and it's still obnoxiously loud at high rpm. I can not ride the bike without ear plugs.

All in all if you are satisfied with it then I suggest you cut down the new baffle end with a hand saw this way it doesn't look like a bunch of added metal while it's inside the Coffman.

1st vid was done awhile ago but the sound does translate pretty well.

Coffman was bought used, no db killer. Took the one from the shorty as mentionned. I may wrap it like this to see how the tone can change:
