Hello,
I am looking for someone to get a close up of how a stand like this attaches to the bike frame. I am looking to build a stand rather than purchase one. I have a twin post lift for cars in my shop, I am thinking that I will build an attachment that works with that. (of course the attachment won't require modifying the arm on the lift)

I have this particular stand and it's great, but If your going to fab a stand consider the possibility of also being able to invert the stand and hoist your bike from a strong horizontal roof beam, or whatever.....this is a hypothetical only.
If u go in this direction please post pics.
PS. check out vids of HOW ppl with Abba stands who incorrectly use them have come unstuck. ☠️

Will do! I plan to use one arm of the car lift to support the bike cradle. The cradle could be under or over the bike depending how I design it. I will watch the videos and make sure I get it mounted correctly....if there is a good reason to rig a safety strap, I will do it.
