Has anyone found a good cleaner to get rid of the skid marks on the tail of the 2020 model? I tried normal washing soap and simple green, the simple green works better but still leaves a dark smudge behind, especially where the chain grease was. I was thinking of trying the Harley dealership since they do a lot of cleaning but was wondering if any of you had found a good product.

If by “skid marks” you mean the chain lube that flings up, a good spray can of chain cleaner works for me. I use Motorex.

Yes that’s what I meant, it’s just annoying to Clean it but it looks so good... I’ll have to try the chain cleaner, I had not thought of that but it makes sense. Dreading having to relube the chain and the mess it will make.

Doesn't the chain guard catch the "throw off"?
Also, the stock chain o-ring chain, so the lube is mostly to preserve the cosmetics of the chain, so no reason to overdo it.
Great and hilarious video here...

Good video and point about lubing the chain.. I rarely lube mine and they last just fine even living on a gravel road.
You would think the chain guard would stop it from splattering but it’s not 100% and every little spot that gets on the tail turns into a smeared mess when you try to clean it.. some of it could be oil and grease from the road too that gets thrown up by the tire..

I use a product called CRC 556, Simular to WD40, though not as oily and doesn't leave a long lasting wet mark, I also hate lubing chains, and always seem to over lube, and then suffer the mess, WD40 is my preferred product on a rag to wipe the chain down, after washing, or when the road dirt/dust accumulates... Now I am lubing with one rotation of spray on Motorax or Putoline chain lube.

I went to sdoc100 dry lube this season, and since then I have no more chain lube mess on the bottom of the tail or the back of the number plate 👌🏻

The biodegradable chain oil I use in my oiler comes off easy with wd40.

To wash the bike Id also been using Motorex, which I used up; it works well.

Now that I bought a different type (motorex was sold out) I will have to update on how it works... it was "amazons choice"... Caramba i think...
