Aha! This metallic sand appears to be shot blasting media trapped in the muffler from the finishing process. I'll shake out as much as I can but I don't think I'll worry about it.

Niot yet... got distracted by a back injury and some other projects... but I WILL get back to it eventually!

In the mean time, I also treid one of those cheapo mid pipes. IT COST 3 (yes Three) BUCKS!!!
I had to modify the lower flange and mounting bracket to make it fit and once I got it on the bike... I rode for exactly 50ft. parked the bike, removed the pipe and put it straight into the trash.
I am sure it there different quality levels, so hopefully @Vintage Veloce recieved a more well made one than I did...

Hope you’re feeling better. Did you get the exhaust installed yet? Would love to see some pics and maybe video with the new sound.
