I moved the canister to clean under the seat and saw there is only one connection. Is this right? I also noticed there is an unattached tube (shown in green), should this be connected to the smaller (red) port of the canister? Visuals below, the canister is on the right with one connection with a clamp. I have a CA motorcycle if that's relevant, I understand this is part of emissions control.

I can't recall how it was on mine when I removed it, but do remember a hose that was not connected. weird right?
Yeah, I would also expect any connections to be held with a clamp so I guess there's only one connection to this canister. I'm still reading about what this emission control is doing but it seems to be different on different bikes. I'm assuming the only hose is somehow connected to the tank, but it's not the breather hose since that ends on top of the intake manifold.

Here is the Rottweiler emission control removal instructions - show you how to remove the cannister + SAS
Thanks, so there should be two connections.
"There will be two hoses attached to it. A larger hose with a clamp (this hose travels to the fitting that was unplugged in step 3) and a smaller hose that should pull off when you pull back the canister far enough"

On my European version the small hose (green circle) is connected to the small tube. On the charcoal canister there should be another tube to the atmosphere.
