Break-in oil change filter pictures.

Yeah fairly common but that looks like alot..
Not real worried, that's what filters are for. Rather find it here than caught in an oil galley later.
Looking forward to some high rpm riding now. 😛

Don't look normal to me. What is that string (stringy) material on the filter? Is it metal? Any of the other pieces metallic?

Not saying there is anything bad there but typically (even at first service) there is not a bunch of crud in the filter. Maybe it is just sloppy assembly practices by Husqvarna India.

Mine had more bits of ‘liquid gasket’ and about the same fuzz of metal on the magnet as this. I also had some small 1-2mm silver glitter (not steel as not on the magnet) and some very fine silver sheen which had not been trapped by these filters or the main paper one. I changed oil at 340 miles, wish I had done it sooner. I changed it again at 800 miles and the screens were still a little dirty but there was no silver glitter and only a little fuzz on the magnet. I have ridden it very hard this summer and did an oil change at 3000 miles. It was a bit brown but there were no bits of anything on the filters and the fuzz on the magnet was minimal.
I have used Motul 7100 15-50w as Motorex is not available from my local bike shop.

Plastic maybe, not metal.

This is 100% normal for these bikes. I've only ever had yamaha's and almost puked when I did my first oil change. I'm not saying it is ok, just that it is normal :)

I did my first change at 500 miles and will do my second at 1200 miles this weekend.

Could you post pics of the filters and report your thoughts on the condition of the oil after this change please. Just curious, thanks.

I just changed the oil and filter on my 2022 svartpilen 401 salvaged stollen recovered with 5200 miles on it. The bike had broken levers, footpegs, foot brake and locks. £1,150 plus £350 to replace parts. The oil was dark grey/black and the filters looked just like the ones in your pictures. This had me so concerned yesterday that I started listening to all the engine noises wondering .....is this how it should sound ?. I tried comparison with my svart. 2003 125 which was also a stollen recovered salvage buy at a total cost parts etc. £2050 with 1030 miles . This bike I've had for over a year and love. I am about to change the clean in fact ,golden oil and will let you know what I find in the filters.

I suppose you don't get any History on those bikes so it's difficult to know when (or if) the oil was changed. I'd try not to worry too much and just assure you are maintaining them well. (y)

I don't have pics, but I can say the screens were clear this time. The oil definitely had the shimmer of metal in it but much finer than the first round. I think these engines are just machined close and they let the rings do the final machining. I'm at 1200 miles now. I won't do it again until 3k, I'm sure it is fine.

I know how you feel about taking pics. That’s the last thing I’m thinking about whilst doing an oil change. Trying to remember all the screens and ‘o’rings and plugs and stuff is enough for my ageing brain. I did mine (Motul 7100) a couple of months ago at 3000 miles and it was a dark reddish brown. I figured it is running very rich due to the Fuel X lite, pretty clear of shimmer though so hopefully not suffering from me ringing its neck everywhere.
