I’m sure it’s expected but it still annoys me to death. Did your new levers fix it?I bought these, they work well and are non-folding: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B078HRT6VS?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
The slop in the pivots is to be expected from a lower-end bike like ours. My 1988 BMW GS levers still feel like a Swiss watch after 35 years, it just comes down to manufacturing precision.
No, there was still play, plus the lever has a second pivot point (for the reach adjustment) which has some wiggle. I added a thin shim washer at the main pivot which helped a bit.I’m sure it’s expected but it still annoys me to death. Did your new levers fix it?
OK, thanks! I’ll start with trying to shim the original parts and see if that helps. Hi,
My Svart 2022 has a really annoying up and down play in the clutch lever. Would new levers fix this play issue?
I wouldn’t mind having a little shorter levers but I don’t want folding levers. Any recommendations?
Thanks.
