Not impressed, but only 77 in each color made so I guess it will be expensive and sold out it minutes…

Will probably all end up parked and for sale in 10 years with 5 miles on the odometer, just an investment. I am not sure who is doing market research for KTM but unfortunately the 701 was doomed to fail from the start and all those issues would have been solved with a 801 or 901 vitpilen/svartpilen but they seem to be focusing on these limited edition bikes.

The only thing I can think of is due to supply chain issues if they can’t keep up with the demand for the 890, it doesn’t make sense to roll out a new pilen based on it until that normalizes.

Hahaha. but still. I never liked 4 in lines anyway, and the Kawa's are real ugly imho.

At the same time in about every hypernaked test the Super Duke R trumps on canyon roads. Weight, suspension, engine... I just can't get used to the typical KTM styling, but they go like stink. Hoping for a big Vitpilen twin one day.

Meanwhile, as happy as kid with my other bike if we're talking big torquey twins.

Both the Ducati and Brabus are nothing but "ahhh look at me" bikes. (and I hate KTM for selling their soul to "exclusivity", if I were a motorcycle manufacturer I wanted my products to be ridden, not to be collected like "art").

That's a bike I can appreciate. Bit of a Superleggera. It offers something extra on top of the bike it was based on (-20 lbs, top spec suspension). A bike only serious bike lovers will recognize. Still a lot of money but it doesn't appeal to "luxury" like the Diavel Lambo of the Brabus does.

Remember the Brabus is based on the 20k$ SDR 1290 R Evo , but serious, 58k??

(all in USD btw, before taxes)

What's next, a 5k "Chanel" helmet based on a 1200 USD Arai helmet?

i also think the stage kit from bad winner cost nearly as much as the vit itself is not reliable as well...but its custom not for posing ;)....

but components looking mint
