Some hate it, some love it... But everyone likes to have their bike looking like the day they got it.

What are the best care products you have tried for your bike?

I'm quite new to riding, so I haven't tried many products yet. I'm really looking forward to reading your suggestions. I will start:

Chain cleaning: Motul C1. It does an awesome job degreasing the chain and any greasy spot. I even use it on my back wheel some times (Don't know if I should).

Chain grease: Motul C2. Haven't tried anything else yet, but seems to do a good job. If you let it sit for 5-10 minutes after aplying, it doesn't spray much.

Soap: Muc-Off Motorcycle cleaner. I use this for everything but the chain and it cleans really well. I heard that it must be rinsed very well after cleaning since it can rust metal parts otherwise (Don't know if that part is actually true).

Plastic restorer: WD-40 Specialist Silicone Shine. This product really makes your bike look like the day you got it! It does run out quite quickly, so I don't use it very often. I spray the product on the plastics after I'm done washing and then buff out the remainings with a rag. The result is great and the smell is quite nice as well.

Right now I'm running out of soap and the plastic restorer stuff, so any suggestions are more than welcome!

Regular ol' WD-40 works well to clean stuff, like the spokes, or the greasy part of the swing arm. Spray it on a rag and wipe the gunk away...
Can also clean the rust of the header with it in combination with a scotch brite.

I tested out the WD 40 Specialist Motorbike Wax and Polish.

It works good on the Matt Paint/Plastic/Carbon which is what I got it for and I will continue to use it on those parts, at least until the can is empty.

On the shiney paint it doesnt do so well. Looks almost acceptable initially but doesn't last at all and I will find something else to use for the shiney parts next time.

I use basic car wash, ArmorAll Wash and Wax. When I had a matte black Indian I used their wash only (no wax) version so it didn't gloss up the matte finish. I needn't have worried. For a finish coat I use Mr Sheen, basic furniture polish, on all surfaces. This also keeps mud etc from sticking a certain amount and washing is easier.

I used to get the expensive stuff, Meguiar's fancy washes and detailer sprays. They didn't do anything better than the basic products did, and the ArmorAll I get from the supermarket when grocery shopping.

Recently the parts store I go to gave me some annual loyalty points that bought me a bottle of CT-18 foam wash. I've not tried it yet, but as a freebie I thought it was worth a go.

When I'm touring for several days I carry the Mr Sheen in my luggage to use after washing in car wash stations if I ride through muddy roadworks etc. I also use it on the windshield of my touring bike after riding through bugs etc each day.

I have a bulk container of degreaser, one without volatile aromatic solvents. It works well on chain etc for when grease flings off but doesn't cut through stuff as well as the aromatics. For chain lube I use Motul Road Strong, It's a wax formulation that stays on the chain better than a lot of lubes I've tried.
