I’m curious for the people who didn’t receive the dash, could you guys not do a charge back with your credit card company? I’m apprehensive about placing an order if they truly come back, but if I used my credit to pay and didn’t get the product I could just do a charge back.

I think if you order and pay and then too many months go by that you may no longer be able to do a charge back. It depends on the CC, but it could be as short as 60 days.

I tend to be a fan of using PayPal when some risk is involved, their 180 days is usually sufficient for conflict resolution.
In this case though, where the dash is out for a number of years it would also be too late.
Sadly, for many small businesses the pandemics spelled the end.

after 5 months? order in november, promised in december, promised again towards march, so we waited and in between they dissaperead.. it is march now..

He advertised the dash in September, october and November 2023 explicitly as “pre order” for the “new” batch…
In november he did an update AFTER recieving the money, that there was a delay (no problem, such things happen unforseen and better late than not at all) but after that “update” it went quiet, permanently quite and that looks like fraud to me..
The pandemic blaming is bollocks to me… small businesses in the motorcycle industry did have top sales during that period… supply delays yes, but incomming money due to internet sales was top notch…
As i am in that industry myself i have rather good idea tbh.

Well their website is back but there is no mention of new owners or anything. Not sure I trust them now that they are acting like nothing happened. Anybody else get new communications on their previous orders?
Badwinners uses Shopify and there are terms and conditions they must abide by. I didn’t go through the whole list but they don’t list their physical address which they are supposed to. You can complain directly to Shopify. I’m not sure what that would accomplish but that is an option at least for people who paid and didn’t get what they paid for.

it is indeed illegal for a EU shop for NOT publishing a full adress BUT they don't do it.. indeed..
their adress can be found somewere, it is ass far as i know:

my advice to everyone considering ordering, wait until they supply/deliver the backorders again...

That address isn't the address I and other sent our dashes back to for repair/reprogramming. So maybe the did change owners/ locations.

Guys, forget about Badwinners dash. I feel sorry for those who paid and got scammed 
. And some good news! A new dash is under development. It's called "projectpilen" and it's way more good looking than that badwinners brick. Check this reddit thread. The development is on it's final stage, and should be soon available to purchase.
