Any 701 Enduro or 690 Enduro owners here? Thinking of getting a 701 Enduro for 80% road / 20% light off road riding. I was pretty set on a Tenere 700 but the Husky and KTM are so light compare to everything else… plus I love the engine! I wont be doing 200+ miles rides so I dont think I need a dedicated adventure (heavier) bike. A sub 400 pounds bike I can easily carry in a hitch carrier on my Tacoma and take it almost everywhere. Might sell my Svart 401 afterwards, so I would like to know from owners what they think of it. Thanks!

Went to the dealer yesterday, I like it a lot and will probably pull the trigger. Seat height is higher but will not be an issue on the road for me. Need to check if I can mount more road worthy tires without having to do a Supermoto conversion (meaning new wheels and maybe changing some break components).

Is the difference in size of a front tire (21 vs 17) very apparent while riding on the road? Remember, my only bikes have been a Honda Elite scooter and the Svart.

Thanks!

I dont know whether I would start by comparing a Svart and a Enduro, it will be like a whole different style of riding required... in general... I wouldnt jump a Svart over anything serious... with an Enduro though 🙈🙈🙈

I understand, they are different machines. My question comes from seeing that the 701 supermoto has 17 wheels. However every review I’ve read says that the enduro (with its 21 wheel) rides great on the streets.

Well, I pulled the trigger on the 701 Enduro last week.

Here in Puerto Rico the Supermoto models are way more popular, as well as KTM models over Husky. Thanks to that I was able to get a nice deal on this one. Haven’t had a lot of seat time as the dealer was out of license plates, but they called me this morning and I will pick it up tomorrow.

I really like not having to slow down as much for speed bumps when compared to the Svart

… plus the bump in power is awesome. I will say that the Svart engine is smoother, not sure if it is due to the smaller engine size or the fact that the Enduro is brand new and needs to be broken in. Anyways super happy with it! The bike is BIG when compared to the 401... at 5'9'', I can tip toe with both feet, so I will need to get accustomed to that. However to make it easier I bought a Kouba link to lower the back by 1'', as well as handlebar risers to lower the front by the same amount. Also ordered a Wings slip-on, handguards and the Perun rear rack, as this bike has no storage space below the seat.

First long ride scheduled for this Sunday, will try to take more pictures.

I heard from someone who specializes on those bikes that its because the white plastics on some bikes has a tendency for discoloration, or more noticeable at least than black and orange.

And they also said when the plan is to ride rather than resell, that the 701 is definitely better.

Nice to know! I've seen a lot of decal kits for these bikes, so no issue if I start seeing discoloration in the future.

Yeah, the assumption was that the choice cleaning agents may have an impact... so choose wisely 🙉🙉🙉

So, how are you liking your 701? I was close to getting a slightly used 2019 Vitpilen 701 instead of the Enduro. Such a beautiful bike.

Joeprez-

How’s your 701 been? (A bit different than your Honda scooter? LOL)
Who says you can’t enter a bike show with a 701!

Its been great. Actually rode it the other day with a couple of friends that ride Harley’s, that were going to a “cruisers meet”. I was joking I would not be welcomed in the meet, but they did and even took pictures!
