ADVmoto on the Norden 901

Another great review. The word comfort really sticks out in my mind! The other thing I noted in the video was the cost of the "Explorer" software unlocking was just $200 ish as I thought it would be a lot more so hey that's good news.

To be honest .... bit lame Explorer mode doesn't come standard. Not a fan of companies trying to make an extra cashflow just by unlocking stuff that's already in there. It's like you buy a new cellphone, but have to pay an extra 80€ to unlock the ability to text.

Also, I miss the brushed steel on the handguards. Hopefully Rizoma or other aftermarket company will manufacture them.

I totally agree and they tease you by knowing the software is already installed but you have to pay to unlock it😡. “Look here’s your new car. Oh the steering wheel is optional!”
 
I would totally go with the KTM if it were not for appearance and the fact it’s not in my budget.
That being said, the main advantage of the Husqvarna Norden over its KTM rivals is appearance & image imho.
 
Well, I have to say, the software guys didnt program it for free, and the prices are less attractive if you have to cover all the stuff thats "nice to have".

Its probably hard competing in the ADV segment.

I agree with the fact that it is hard competing. But be honest ... price here is 14750,00€. You think I or all the rest that want a Norden badly, would bail out if they said it's 14950,00€ (including the explorer mode)?
Now it just feels like a lack of customer service. "Here's your brand new bike ... with flat tyres. If you want them pumped, it's gonna cost you an additional 30 euro." :p
And that is besides the fact, that the software already existed on the 890 R (Rally-mode) ... the software guys just gave it a new name.
