801 Vitpilen?

Looks freakin' awesome.

I like the yellow one, as always some complaints but overall doesn’t look bad. Feel like some mods could push it over the edge

Looking at the Vit and the Svart, I prefer the black exhaust, rad covers, heel plates and belly pan of the Vit. Also the front mudguard is more refined and the headlight at an angle suits the lines better on the Vit.
The handlebars are slightly lower than the Svart but overall I prefer the Vitpilen all day long. Yellow colour would be my choice but colour can divide a room. I would have thought a white version as the name suggests but silver does not do it for me.

Looking at the stripped down version there really doesn’t seem to be a reason for the new tank cover design, the protrusion doesn’t cover anything. Would be cool if someone made replacement covers in the 701 style or maybe it would be possible to make custom tank covers. Then you could use clip ons and make the tank look less ktm duke esq.

Has anyone anywhere seen a Vit 801 in a dealer? Husky was saying end of November to show up in dealer showrooms but no dealer I've talked to has any idea when they are coming in.

It seems the first dealers here in Europe are just now getting the first Vitpilens.

They've shown up in Florida. I'm getting excited. First thing I'm doing is 3d printing a bunch of tank cover variants to play with, this thing is going to look like a proper cafe bike. A small headlight fairing like the customized one that showed up at the bike show and some motogadget goodies and it will be sick.

I'm not an expert, but what kind of 3D printer is big enough to print the covers?
Or will you split them and put them together after printing?

It would be printed in sections. Fusion 360 doesn't care how big your design is so I would make it in one piece and then print out the right or left half in two or three pieces. I would have to do that anyway to really nail down the mounting points since I would be making measurements, I don't have one of those fancy 3d scanners (yet :) )

Would be nice to have the 3D-data of the covers.
