Anyone figure this (620 mile service light) out yet without going to a dealer? Closest one is 2.5 hours away, not really interested in driving there to get a light reset.

Consider your warranty. I get extended warranty if I keep it serviced at a dealer.. also they lift the 6500rpm shift light and they change a(the?) oil squirter, not just oil and filter.

Also, in the Uk at least you get a 4 year warranty as long as you service it with a Husky approved dealer

I understand in other countries the warranty is a thing. In the US as long as you keep receipts of service they can't take your warranty away. They also don't extend it if you use the dealer service. Either way, it isn't worth a 5 hour round trip and the dealer didn't exactly do a stellar job of setting the bike up - overfilled the coolant, steering head was loose and the chain was so tight I can't believe it survived the ride home over any road undulations. I'll try what works on the 790 duke.

If i were you I would still check up on the extended warranty. I'm also all for DIY but seeing these motors had issues (in the past?) I'm not risking it.

Try…..
Go to settings on dash menu, do not enter settings just hold up and down arrow at the same time until secret service menu comes up. If that happens you can set by time or by distance.
This works on the 2024 401 onwards bikes.
I’m no expert on modern dashboards so if it doesn’t work do not blame me….!

This worked for me.

My maintenance menu (after holding both buttons) also shows software V1.11 (video doesn't show anything, it would be the third item in that menu). I can get in there and change the distance but after saving when I back out it is gone immediately.

I have a similar issue. Was at the dealership for service and they did reset the months but not the KM. So I have service due in a year or 13xxx KM.

I can change it but it's not saving it, I will anyway likely not ride that much but a bit annoying non the less. Software Version is 1V14

Haven't tried yet, but here's something Tom found:
"Once you have entered the service distance you must press and hold the enter button for about 5 secs to save the change."
