801 320mm brake discs

Holy hell!!

Edit: Just ordered the Brembo rotors. I like the look of the Galfer better but if it is metallurgy that is causing the warping issue I don't want to find out that the larger rotors will wind up with the same problem, I'm just now starting to feel pulsing right before I stop.

From what I've read it's mainly the material of the stock/OEM Galfer discs that causes the problem; the quality of the after market Galfer discs seems to be better.

But it's not just the warping; a webfind; some pics of some stock/OEM 890-R Galfer discs; I've never seen something similar at any bike...

That amount of corrosion is insane. Looks like a flood damaged bike but just the rotors.

My main complaint about the 801 stock and 790 stock rotors is that they are so ridiculously heavy. There is no need for a 1/4” steel plate rotor carrier.

@Actionabe those pics are of two different bikes; no flood damage is mentioned just some rides near a seaside with one of those bikes...

(y) Did you also order the sintered pads? From my experience the combination works very good!

I did not and I didn't see your comment until it was too late to add to that order. $50 from italy for a pair vs $120 in the US. But I saved so much on the rotors I didn't care and just ordered them from amazon.
