701 Idle Speed?

My Svartplen 701 idles at about 2,000 rpm when warm. This seems a bit high to me as engaging first gear is accompanied with an unhealthy clunk. And there is not as much engine braking as I would expect.

What rpm is the normal idle speed? And can it be adjusted?

Any feedback will be welcome. So thanks in advance if you can let me know at what speed your 701 ticks over. I used to have a Velocette Venom 500 in my youth and know the modern engine needs a bit more revs to keep going but would prefer a slower, if lumpy, idle speed.

Idle Speed SP/VP 701

The idle is constantly @ 2000 rpm cold and warm. I think this is on the high side even for a such powerful one cylinder engine. I expected that once the engine has reached the operating temperature the idle speed would drop a little. This is not the case and it seems that the cold start...
