Hi Husky team,

i ran into this starting problem: When i hit the ignition button, the starter relays seems to be giving the signal to the starter, but somehow the starter doesn't react accordingly and just "flickers" through a few starting attempts.

I checked all the fuses, gave all the brown relays in the rear benath the seat a few little wanks, but finally i had to run and get the bike running by push-starting it (in a rush). Then, after a 30 min ride, it started again via starter 🤷🏼‍♂️

There are video links below.

The bike has only about 1500 miles on it.

Did anyone have this problem?

Thank you!

Sounds like battery is low or weak.
The original battery is not known for having good performance.

Otherwise you could check the wire to the starter and the battery for clean and tight connections.

My bike had this similar issue. I had it on a 5000km road trip. Always stopped the bike on a hill for an entire day lol (so I could pop the clutch).

Got back to the hotel that night and looked it over. I honestly can’t remember if my bike did that clicking.

Anyway, my issue was those bolts on the starter relay (under the rubber boots in your video), those bolts were both very very very loose. Wire was literally wobbling around. Tightened those up, never had the problem again. Lol

I had the exact same problem, with the same clicking sound.
It only happened in winter or if I didn't use the bike for longer than a week.
Bought a stronger battery, problem solved!

If you can measure the voltage of the battery with the bike off, anywhere below 12.6V with the stock battery wouldn't start the bike for me, this should tell you if the battery is the problem, alternatively, charge it overnight and try again.

Thank you guys! Super helpful. I only own the bike for about 8 months, so i'm looking into a warranty replacent for a start, but will definitely look into getting a "better" battery one day in the future.

Good luck lol. I had a faulty rear shock due to it leaking fluid. Estimated time for “warranty replacement” was undetermined. No stock in North America with no estimate for delivery. The shop rebuilt the shock with KTB high end stuff and they submitted the whole bill to KTM/Husqvarna. Shock is FAR better than new. I actually noticed a diff.

Nice deal Rob!
Just found out: Battery warranty is 90 days 😑 so i'll need to upgrade.

If that is your problem. Check your voltage first. I for one upgraded my India battery with all my starting problems. But it was not the issue, but whatever, I now have a trusty Yuasa battery so I’m okay with that.

Yuasa AGM YT-12A-BS if you want. Better than the 9-BS or whatever it is

If battery is below voltage it’s not good idea to “charge” it by riding the bike. Hard on the electronics and it will take a loooong time to get back to 12.8-12.9v

Best to remove from bike and charge it with a proper charger.

Keep in mind. You check this ‘resting’ voltage after the battery has sat. So like the next morning.

Battery voltage will be higher after initially charging.
