Some of the mods to my 801 during break-in which accommodate my riding style are: Pirelli Rosso IV tires that warm fast with Velcro-like edge grip, Rubber air duct deletion from the air box, Shorai Lithium Iron (not Ion) battery--5 pounds lighter and fits perfectly, Finrir bar-end mirrors, Ixil muffler, Blackened radiator covers, 15 tooth damped countershaft sprocket and Coober LM fuel module. I just installed the Coober (not very difficult) and 15T sprocket and a test ride produced joy! The 801 definitely pulls harder and runs smoother through mid-range. I'm somewhat obsessive about weight and the selective removal of unwanted parts has saved 15 pounds for a wet weight of about 406. Suspension testing is underway along with final exhaust configuration research. I suspect I'm preaching to the choir when I say the 801 is an exceptional ride...I am V-E-R-Y pleased with mine! Cheers from the Smoky Mountains, TN.

How are the new mirrors? Can you actually see what's behind you?
I understand your concern and they actually work very well after adjustment to my riding style. On the mountain roads where I live, watching "my six' frequently is a survival necessity since the awesome curves are full of hard-charging sports cars (often lacking talent) and wannabe MotoGP riders (who sometimes blow their turns). I have seen bar end mirrors on some of my bikes that mostly just showed my arms but I have no complaints with these and would not use them if they didn't function well.

Got them mounted. Excellent fit and finish on these mirrors. They vibrate far less than the stock mirrors. I can clearly see what's behind me.

OK, so which ones did you guys go with? The smaller 3.14" or the larger 3.7"? And does anyone have an exact link?
