2019 701 vitpilen from dealer. extended warranty ?

dealer has a 701 with 425 miles and is offering extended warranty.
i will be using this bike mostly for the track with a little bit of street riding.
extended warranty worth getting ?

the only issues i read about seem to be for the clutch master slave and fuel tank leak. anything else to consider on the 2019's ?

Extended warranties are really just insurance. Not worth it IMO (besides, I'm pretty sure the extended warranty terms would exclude any damage caused by track use)

Those things you mention were factory recalls and should've already been done to the bike. In any case, they were free.

Then again some only do dealer services

sounds good. this model seems to be mostly reliable. hoping both fixes were already done.

yes if you get dealer service regularly then it maybe worth getting the service contract. i work on my bike mostly. unless it involves electronics

I wouldn't bother. The first time the dealer notices your tires worn out to the edges or something safety wired, you're going on the naughty list anyway.

Only the LC8’s (Parallel Twin) powered bikes need extended warranties. Those engines are reportedly eating their camshafts and damaging the heads. 790’s & 890’s both included.

ah thanks for the clarification! i do remember reading about these issues. hopefully they are fixed now.

If u do get an extended warranty i would read the "Terms and Conditions" of that warranty.
Extended normally doesn't cover everything that the standard dealers warranty covers....there's warranties and there's warranties.
