    Battery Advice

It's time to get a new battery, and I want to go with a Antigravity/LiFePO type. I have a 2019 Svart 701. Can you advise on the battery you chose and if you needed to do any mods to get it to work? Straight drop in or needed some tweaking/packaging? Any problems with it? Cold starting? Also...

Wow. Had no idea that was even capable. Is there an app on the phone that receiving this info from the dongle? Crazy.

Covering svartpilen 701 ugly back of dash take 3. Now 4

So you're riding without an accessible dash? Not sure I'd want to lose the info, but it looks very nice, very clean. How's the light pattern on that headlight? Difficult retrofit?

Covering svartpilen 701 ugly back of dash take 3. Now 4

Where's your dash, man? Really intrigued - this is a big alteration. I'm in the middle of one myself. I have the BW dash and am tweaking the plastics to make it look cleaner. Another couple of days, I might have something to show.

    blue white full body kit?

Are you talking about the standard body panels or the aero kit that was in the news several years back. As far as I know it was never sold or marketed. The body panels can be purchased from any dealer. I bought mine from AOMC and changed a black Svart to a blue and white Vit. Looks great.

. . . and it's only opened on one side. Interesting. You had this done by Pirate Racing and sent the box into them? How was that experience? If I recall, the kit and service was expensive.

@KiwiKev My bad - I was mixing your bike up with the bronze one shown on page one, which has the airbox removed. I think your open-sided box looks fantastic; it's a great look. I don't think I like the fully removed airbox though. Thanks for the pix - the stash is hilarious. If I recall from...

@KiwiKev I thought that the Pirate kit had you modifying the airbox and not removing it completely? You opted to remove it instead? You opted to keep the stock cat as well? I think this helped with your midrange. I think the Akro exhaust with the center cat-like section might do a little...

    Worn brake disc?

The disk is supposed to "float" within those rivets. It's normal to have play there. It is not supposed to be a firm connection.

Yes, looks nice. Did you have your bike dyno-tuned after the K&N install? Don't happen to have a dyno run to share, do you? I'm curious about powerband after removing the airbox. Cheers.

    Help needed with traction controll

I don't recall the button sequence, but I remember the it would work 75% of the time, but you had to hold the button (don't remember which one) for a very long time. You get the impression that it's not going to "catch" but it does most of the time. Also, sometimes it seems like the button is...

    Help needed with traction controll

I have a 2019 Svart and HAVE been able to turn off TC. It is temp and comes right back on ignition cycle though.

Yes, that is the Buell holder (and I thank you for the reference). I was told by Nitron that the attached res model (#2?) would not fit in our frame with our swingarm. Very interested to see if it fits . . . .

I ended up making a custom 3D printed bracket for both my exhaust hanger (massive PITA as the exhaust wants to interfere with the heel of my right foot, but the exhaust pieces can roll independently and change location, so LOTS of trial and error to move it away from my heel but not have it look...

    Rear right tail panel, removable?

If you haven't purchased it yet, consider an FZ-07. It's a great first bike, and has lots of perf capability in an easy to ride platform. I've had lots of bikes over the years, and it is my favorite by a fair stretch. I think the Vit/Svart bikes are interesting and unique, but they are quirky...

I also fitted a Nitron R3 as did others. Most came with preload too high. I suggest you dial it back a little before installation, as altering it after install is a major PITA! Also, how are you mounting the reservoir? Just curious.

    Rear right tail panel, removable?

Yes, there have been some issues. These bikes are very sensitive to battery charge. Make sure yours is fully charged. There have been recalls on the tank (leakage), on the clutch (lose clutch function; this happened to me and many others), and every once in a while there are issues with a...

    Rear right tail panel, removable?

Yes. It comes right off after removing a couple of bolts. Underneath is the Vitpilen parts. These are covers. I did the same thing on my 2019 Svart.
