Your 701 is so good looking! I love that paint scheme with the spoked wheels. I also love that engine - I have owned two 690 Duke R's which have the same cheeky thumper. So much character and fun on the twisties. I miss it!
My 690:
I've not heard of that before (seasonal plate). Makes sense because you just tax the bike for the months you can ride... I try to ride all year if possible, but obviously not if below 4℃ or too wet.
If you can afford it, I would recommend the Fuel X lite. I haven't had any engine stalls or cut outs so far and I'm at 7000+kms. My review:

Thinking about a DNA filter to improve the intake noise. Wonder if the Fuel X Lite will adapt to it automatically or not?
The blurb would suggest it will autotune to the filter:
Mine has never died on me (so far anyway). I fitted the Fuel X Lite during the first month to smooth out the low end response, and have done a write up on here about it. The Lite version only comes with one map, so no option for fine tuning but I'm happy with it.
I'll swap for Road 6's - I'm currently at 4400 (miles) and there's still tread left so holding off for a bit.
I had S22's on my Duke 790, then Rosso Corsa IIs - both good tyres, but not as hard wearing as Michelin Road 6s.
