New Ducati Single Cylinder 659cc Engine

I find it interesting that they have chosen the path, like KTM, with balancer shafts instead of staying with their 90degree slave connecting rod engine design.

Husqvarna 701 Enduro or Husqvarna 901 Norden Expedition

Honesty with yourself regarding what type of riding your want to experience is your best guide. Obviously, you already have the machine for covering TET trails and off road riding. As far as High-speed, long-distance rides on pavement & tackling mountain passes, might you simply just add a base...

Well said. A very easy to live with bike. the O2 sensor modification will give so much more in the lower and mid rpm’s… more grunt with less effort. Even more enjoyment.

Yours probably without the luxury of storing indoors & out of the elements? This 901 is just a test mule with Svart handle bars. Cool.

    Engineering Vs. Marketing

The Kramer 690S uses a 5.0” rear wheel. https://www.kramermotorcyclesusa.com/2023-kramer-hkr-evo2-s As far as tire size, the pics don’t look like a 180 series to me… so I am assuming. Unable to verify yet.

    Engineering Vs. Marketing

If the 180 series tire worked better, the Krämer would use it. Too heavy & power sapping for the increased traction & force required for handling. Might look cool though. 😎

42t Sprocket Weights for Vitpilen 701, Svartpilen 701, and Duke 690

Remember, the longer the chain effected wheelbase, the more leverage on the rear spring. So a shorter chain yields less sag on the rear suspension (spring) while a longer chain wheelbase yields more sag on the same spring. 🙂

42t Sprocket Weights for Vitpilen 701, Svartpilen 701, and Duke 690

Some tire are lighter than others. Reciprocating weight is a great place to cut weight. And the longer the radius the greater the benefit. For example x amount of weight off of a tire has a greater effect than the same x amount at the hub. Nice work!
