Issues with starter solenoid or relay?

Update: After tightening the connections on the starter relay and installing a new battery, the starter is functioning. I ended up ordering another one just in case.

    Dakar 2022!

I was ok with that due to the price, but I got a call from the local Honda dealer and they are asking a nice mark up for them. I might as well pay more and get a Husky FE or KTM EXC-F. Weight is way lower on those. I want to leave my 401 for road use (and eventually upgrade to a 701), but I got...

That's a great video, thanks! Been looking at a Honda CRF300l Rally recently, I have never had a dual sport... and now I REALLY want one :)

Issues with starter solenoid or relay?

After riding it, it still would start using the starter. Well yesterday I tightened the starter solenoid connection and when putting back the battery I got no power to the electronics or lights, just could hear a pump "whining" After taking out each of the fuses, by process of elimination it is...

Issues with starter solenoid or relay?

Hi all, Yesterday As I was preparing for a ride my bike decided not to start. I heard what I think is the relay clicking but the starter wouldn't start. Every other electronic system looked fine, bike was in neutral, kill switch off, battery charged (as per my battery tender). I did start it up...

Adventure Boots for paved riding anyone?

Appreciate all the help guys. I think I'll continue riding in my TCX boots and maybe get the Forma low's for the times I ride in unpaved roads (doesn't happen a lot).

Adventure Boots for paved riding anyone?

Thanks Greg! A friend of mine has the Forma low boot and told me the same, he has used it for walking and loves it. Do you own the regular (taller one) or the low one?

Adventure Boots for paved riding anyone?

Hey guys! I've been away from the forum lately, but I'm still riding (and learning)! I watch a video the other day on safety equipment which stated that statistically most motorcycle injuries are foot/leg injuries. As far as safety equipment I'm well covered, and most importantly I always use...

    Comparison Test Including the 401

I think it was Fortnine (youtube) that review one of the BMW 310 models (the adv bike maybe?).... not a good review.

Got the dreaded engine cut off symptom

Very interested to see if it solves the problem. Do you need to do any other modifications (air filter box? exhaust?) or programing when adding the Coober ECU?

Got the dreaded engine cut off symptom

Mine still does it (2019 401 Svart), and I believe it may be what you wrote... it only happens to me when downshifting at lower rpms and when the clutch is engaged (if I downshift without pulling the clutch lever, it doesn't happen). So now I rev match in my downshifts and problem solved (still...

    Clutchless upshifting on 2018 and 2019 401

My Super Beetle was stock, so maybe that could be the difference. I rode my friends Honda CB500 at the clutchless shifting was not as easy as it is on the Svart, but completely doable.

    Clutchless upshifting on 2018 and 2019 401

I do it all the time on my 2019 Svart, both upshifts and downshifts. Upshifting is super smooth, you just need to apply a little "up" pressure to the shifter, close the throttle for a bit (less than a second) and up it goes. It works great, a would say, north of 6,500 rpm. If you are going "too...

I just logged in to post this. Very interesting, and an 801 or 901 could be around the corner.
