    Handlebar Position

Regards tail tidy….dirt is not a concern no, I ride only in the sunshine, my bike is purely for pleasure, if the weather is forecast for rain it stays in the garage. Also I did not ride with the swingarm mounted original in the rain so could not say if R&G tail tidy is worse or better than...

    Handlebar Position

Sorry should have added I am a bit of a tinkerer, this may not be as simple as I might have made it sound.

    Handlebar Position

I have fitted bar end mirrors using the original bars, I used the bolt that holds on the end weights. I could not get the insert out of the bars either, mine is glued in. My mirrors were just meant to be to try out bar end mirrors having never had them before. I bought a cheap set from eBay for...

    Handlebar Position

I have not changed the bars on mine for some of the reasons above. Mainly, not many 1inch bars available, aleast not nice ones that fit or are wider than the stock bars. Also the grip section on the throttle side needs something like 235mm of straight bar to fit the twist grip and front brake...

    Exhaust pop rivet removal

Massively above my head info but it sounds like a great mod. 👍 I am more clockwork than digital as I am a 54 year old stuck in the 80s 🤣

    Exhaust pop rivet removal

I did a similar mod but with much smaller holes. This with fuelx lite and just an Arrow endcan.

    FuelX Lite

Actually after I fitted my fuelx I did the ECU reset, I could hear the revs rise and fall during and it did smooth out during the end of the 15 minutes. You may be correct but what harm can it do?

    Exhaust pop rivet removal

I am not an expert on modern fuelling or modern electronics of any sort so cannot comment on your feeling for the mods you have done but what I can definitely say is that is way too loud for here in the uk. It may be fine in the Philippines, or other countries. It is also disproportionately loud...

    Exhaust pop rivet removal

Cobalt bit. There is no db killer in the original endcan. You can grind out the smaller pea shooter and leave an oval hole to let more air out people have used a hole saw to cut the smaller pea shooter end pipe out but the results are horrendous, visually. There are you tube vids where people...

    FuelX Lite

I might not be needed but I did an ECU reset after installing fuels lite. Took a screenshot from previous post.

    Doing a thing, part 2

Love your tinkering, you look at something and say, ‘no I do not want it looking like that’ then you make it how you want it to be. Very inspiring, keep up the good work👍

    FuelX distributor

Are they not answering phone? The shopping experience was a little vague when I bought mine. They do not say which year the product works with, turns out all years before 2023. The issue buying from them now is the newer 2024 onwards model, I believe the one they currently sell is for the older...

Fitting Rox Speed Riser Throttle Cable too Tight

Did you know you can also flip your original handlebar clamps to move the bars further forward? Mine were already on the furthest forward position from factory. The clamps are designed to do this, it is on page 52 of the owners manual. It looks like you are trying to get the bars further...

Fitting Rox Speed Riser Throttle Cable too Tight

Front brake sensor, turn on ignition, pull on front brake, does it light up? If no, plug it in, turn on ignition, pull front brake, brake light should come on. Unplug again, make wires longer, then plug in again. There is no cable for throttle, it is ride by wire.

    My New Svart 401

Years ago I would mod my bike regardless of it being legal, things like really loud pipes, tiny number plates no chain guard etc. When I came back to biking I made a decision to keep my bike totally UK legal, this means I no longer need to worry about getting pulled for minor legal...

2019 svart 401 rear brake help

Disc brakes are automatically adjusted as the pads wear. The pistons (which squeeze the pads) sit in the caliper with a seal which is square on section, when you squeeze the brakes the fluid pushes the piston and the seal flexes to allow the piston to move. When you release the pressure on the...

140/70 tire on the Vitpilen 401

Pics… Rear.. Wear bar showing almost no wear at 1500miles No flattening of centre tread, you can see the 3 compounds clearly with the super sticky sides showing darker than the harder middle compound. Only used 1.2mm of rear tread so far. This is the front. I do not think I could ever...

140/70 tire on the Vitpilen 401

I have 1500 miles on my Bridgestone S22 tyres which are 110/70/17F and 14/70/17R bike is 2023 Svartpilen 401 with many suspension mods. I am very happy with how these tyres perform and have no issues using all of the rear tyre in the dry. I do not ride in the wet so cannot comment on how they...

    401s Discontinued?

I thought I was but every time I try to pick a bike the site automatically goes back to uk. I tried on my phone to go to USA site but there are no prices for any models only technical accessories. 🤷‍♂️
