    Exhaust

I did some riding today and tested the bike above 8500rpm, it was hard to feel it the bike keeps getting more powerful or not. It’s now also clear for me that I always change my gear when I get to the yellow warning, I very seldom rev the bike that high.

    Exhaust

Looking from the charts above, there shouldn’t be any power increase after 8500rpm with the IXrace. My butt tells me my bike with IXrace keeps going faster after 8500rpm. I guess a dyno run would be the only way to find out.

That’s wack. That begs the question why they would differentiate the manufacturing.

    Exhaust

I’m smart enough to to contradict you but I did a lot of research before buying the 801 and my conclusion was the 790 and the 790L are made in different factories and have different internals. It’s not possible to remake the L-motor into the full power version. Different cams and other stuff. I...

    Exhaust

The low hp version of the 790 engine doesn’t have the same internals as ours. It’s not just the map that’s different. Our 801 also has a different ECU (Bosch) which isn’t as easily tuned as the 790L ECU.

    Exhaust

I tried to get more info from the source regarding this but I couldn’t find out how many db-killers that were used in the IXrace exhaust. It comes with two and both can be removed. Decreased back pressure could negatively impact the power.

I added K&N filter and the FuelX, should at least make the mix a little better. I didn’t notice any power loss at all from the IXrace. A little curious to get the bike benched.

Your bike looks great Tom! Better that an original silver version would is my guess.

    FuelX Lite Review

Happy to hear you are happy with the results, so am I. The FuelX Pro+ has new maps so I don’t think the Coober is better by any means, as long as you don’t decat. I had issues with my bike dying a few times before installing the FuelX. It hasn’t happened since the install and the benifit running...

    Connectivity Option missing?

The 2025 is limited when it comes to the quickshifter so I guess they decided to limit even more functions.

    2022 Vitpilen 401 Chain sound

On my 401, I got a big pebble stuck under the front spocket cover. It was rattling around in here with the front spocket like crazy. Perhaps you should remove to cover to take a look?

    801 320mm brake discs

I’m not surprised. I haven’t swapped brake parts on any motorcycle but on a MTB you can easily notice the difference in brake disc diameter.

The front spocket has a rubber damping, but yes, you can still hear the chain.
