Turn Signals for Svartpilen Outside of North America?? -- They look so much cleaner and not droopy lol

So was watching a vid (sounds like he was from Philippines to me). Anyhow...wondering why their turn signals are different. Not that I care enough to spend a whole bunch of cash changing them, but it seems the Husky ones aren't too crazy in price. The part number for theirs is 12...

SW-Motech PRO Tank Ring and DayBag Tank Bag on 2021 Svartpilen 401 or 701

Hey, I was just thinking. I hate to ask a stupid question, but are you sure you got the PRO tank ring and not the older version? EVO I think it is… From what I remember, the PRO clip/magnet part is almost flat on the bottom of the clip part, it doesn’t hit the cap on my bike. However, the...

Chamber Delete from Competition Werkes for 2020, 2021 401

Ya, so you tried the chamber delete with stock muffler and you liked it better stock? Hey that’s good. Spending less money is always in favor! Did Vintage V ever install the chamber delete?

Chamber Delete from Competition Werkes for 2020, 2021 401

did you ever install this with the stock muffler? If you did, was there any sound diff at all or just for looks? Like you, I kinda like it quiet, but wouldn't mind a bit of tone difference. R

    new mirrors!

Okay. So went for a ride today with my new SW-Motech “Race” mirrors with 180mm arms. I think they look great and match the design of the bike…even more so than the round ones. But that’s just my opinion. The view is great, although where I was this weekend the cars were lacking lol, so I...

SW-Motech PRO Tank Ring and DayBag Tank Bag on 2021 Svartpilen 401 or 701

Hmmm. All I did was sand/grind down the ring to fit around the rack (like you said) and attached it to the tank. Used the 3M rubber that came with the SW-Motech pro ring (about 2mm thick). And bolted it on with some custom cut stainless (the sw kit doesn’t have the right length screws). Are...

    new mirrors!

Hey, are you still using these mirrors? Magazi aspherical ones -- would you opt for different ones? I was going to get new mirrors for the svart, and want better view on the highway and roads...I cannot for the life of me see if there are cars behind me. Not sure which exact ones you got or...

SW-Motech PRO Tank Ring and DayBag Tank Bag on 2021 Svartpilen 401 or 701

Oh, I should add that complete lock to lock clearance for the handlebars too. It doesn’t even get in the way of my Zumo XT…

SW-Motech PRO Tank Ring and DayBag Tank Bag on 2021 Svartpilen 401 or 701

Hey guys, update here on bag options. Since it’s the tank ring there’s other options for the bag. The bag I got (the DayPack), a bit small for anything other than a quick jaunt. Oddly, this is how big most tank bags are. And I believe the Husky tank bag is even smaller at 5L…not sure though...

2020+ Svartpilen and Vitpilen Seat Options

Oh, it's not foolish. I do exactly the same thing. When I put aftermarket stuff on (car or bike) I usually keep everything. I can't tell you how many times I've bought aftermarket products only to put back the original OEM part when I get tired of it or in the scenario or my GT350R, putting...

2020+ Svartpilen and Vitpilen Seat Options

Hey, just curious. Why are you keeping it? Lol. I’m trying to think why I’d want to keep it…I’m sure there might be a reason I’m not thinking of. Rob

    Lubing Brake and Clutch Cables?

Hmmm, Wondering if there’s a post on here about what needs to be done for brake/clutch cable lubing. I’m guessing it needs to be done as maintenance. I bought the Motion Pro V3 to do it and I was sure there was a how-to thread on here but now I can’t find it…maybe it was another site/forum...

    Mystery Oil on Clutch Side?

Yup, I have it in pdf, that's where I got all the page numbers from. What about the Loctite? Is there a reason why you don't put it on? ...like I said, the manual agrees with you, no mention of Loctite. My first thought when seeing loose bolts is to put Loctite on and torque to specs. I...

    Mystery Oil on Clutch Side?

I have a snowmobile and Loctite EVERYTHING. Lol Why do you say not to? This is precisely why I asked…because I’m not sure to working on bikes and tend to follow the manual (which doesn’t mention Loctite, 243 is blue) I also noticed last night that the torque is in three different places in...

    Mystery Oil on Clutch Side?

Ok, well, still damn cold up here. 0°C today with 20 km wind. I don’t have my bike in a garage either, but it’s covered. Anyway, I haven’t “fixed” it yet but I’d say this bolt is the culprit. NONE of these bolts were tight. I could have unscrewed them with my hand. I suppose they were not...

    Mystery Oil on Clutch Side?

Yup, totally. Planning to take the sprocket cover off today. But still quite cold up here in Canada. I was riding yesterday and it started to snow!! Totally wasn't dressed for it either. R

    Mystery Oil on Clutch Side?

Hey all, Anyone have any ideas what this could be? I just took the bike out of storage and noticed this today after a good 200km ride. It’s not anything crazy, but there’s clearly a thin film of oil there. I use DuPont chain lube so I doubt it’s coming off the chain. With I can’t see...
