My 2020 Vit cat is available for sale. I also have the “lower covers” for it too. Let me look up the list prices for those parts and take a couple of pics.

    Engineering Vs. Marketing

Total agreement with you and I appreciate the 900ss comparison. Also bewildered as to the marketing of the previous Vitpilens I approached a company representative at the MotoGP race in Austin, TX this past weekend about it. He admitted opinion that the 701’s are and should be marketed as...

At 100 lbs less and 13 more horse power a better comparison should include the Krämer HKR EVO2 R

    Engineering Vs. Marketing

The Vitpilen & Svartpilen 701’s are bikes for riders. Engineered and refined by riders within the ranks of KTM and Husqvarna to riders with lots of miles under their seats and who can better appreciate the ability and enjoyment of how capable these bike are. This is especially true when compared...

    The Vit 701 suspension thread

Interesting as I have alway tried to set valving for lighter 5wt oil for achieving that subtlety of damping.

    Magura clutch is just weird.

Reminds me of when I owned an Aprilia. Having to “wrench” sucks but it’s worth it in the end as everything gets sorted out eventually.

    Svartpilen & Vitpilen difference

it should be easy to do. You should totally do that. I would love to see the before & after comparison of both bikes. To stop making sense seems to be the way forward.

    Gp shift pattern

While I am interested in racier rear sets, I continue to use a standard (non GP) shift pattern.

Spring length? The Svart & Vit have different amounts of travel.

Checked out a vit 701 today

The Svart has more suspension travel than the Vit (701’s). The Svart 701 is the right bike.

Agreed it looks badass. just seems mismatched with clubman bars which are for road racing and knobby tires for off road. Just fundamentally wrong.

Definitely the Svart. Definitely the 701.

    The Vit 701 suspension thread

So do you like having both more compression & rebound damping?

    The Vit 701 suspension thread

Reducing the air gap by adding more stock weight fork oil would also cause riding higher in the stroke but without a change to the damping .

    The Vit 701 suspension thread

Ok, so you’re saying that given all other fork internals unchanged that with this WP Apex suspension a heavier fork oil will cause the forks to ride higher in the stroke? Interesting.

Welcome to the forum And to the Svart701. How fun is that bike to ride anywhere? Looks like the O2 sensor has been removed and with that “R” logo on the engine I’d bet a fuel dongle is plugged into the harness in its place. +1 if you still have the original handlebars Or street rubber to go...
