I share your feelings about the clip-ons on the Vitpilen. I have a Vitpilen 401. Something like this may work on the Vitpilen, Rizoma Race Retro handlebar. I put one on a 2019 Honda CB300R. It hit the tank at full steering lock but didn't interfere with riding the bike at all.
