It can be disabled in the software. I just don't want to make the trip. Dealer wants the bike left for days. At least on the 701, I can unplug the sensor and get a CEL. But everything works fine.

FYI, I have now tried this. The bike doesn't start with the sensor unplugged. Very annoying.

That crap works unpredictably. Instead of fixing it, I would rather just turn it off. Is there a plug I can pull?

I see. So it works only slips in one direction then? It must be just a weak lockup in general. Stiffer springs might do the trick.

Pressure washer and Goo-Gone clean up the plastics on my 501 pretty well. White is definitely more hassle than other colors.

Is this next gen 401 ADV?

I don't know how the slipper clutch works. But I wonder, if there is a way to make it work like a normal clutch? When I attempt to clutch kick it like a dirt bike, I get the gross scooter whine. I just want instant lock on clutch release. Any solutions for this?

Is there no way to mount it without the rear peg bracket?

What does it hook up to? 4 pins to do all of that learning and tuning?

It's happened to me several times well before hitting 1k miles. I can't remember a single instance in the past 200-300 miles. I blamed it on the clutch switch at the time. It would happen just from pulling the clutch in while coasting (3,4,5,6 gears, over 20mph, pull clutch in - dead).

I was shopping for a Grom-type bike when I decided to go with Svart. I already had an anemic KLX with 22HP. You won't regret the extra power.

Wonder where they got the power numbers. All I ever saw for the 401 was 40HP+ when I was shopping and choosing between it and the Kawi.
