Thanks! It does make sense that is some leftover from the same engine + old header routing. As per suspension, I have not had the need to adjust anyways. Seems pretty versatile the way it is. I'll take it for a tougher spin in the next few days.

Thanks for checking! I did a bit more digging online and seems to be the same. I'm willing to bet 2019 and before didn't have this "thing" like that, but I'll leave it at that. The least they could have done is apply some thermal paint or something :)

Ugh, it's been almost 3 years since I sold my last motorcycle - adv/touring for long trips. Moved to new country, had kids (yeah, yeah I know, covid kids). So there won't be any long term adventures for a while. I started looking for something to move around town and go out to work for the day...
